An MD deck that incorporates the high-quality sound technology cultivated in the S1 series and the development know-how of the commercial MD recorder DN-990R.

The ALPHA processing (Adaptive Line Pattern Harmonized Algorithm) which is an original analog waveform reproduction technology is carried, and the reduction of the quantization distortion is aimed at. With this technology, digital data recorded on MDs and CDs is used as a clue to interpolate the digital data, making it closer to the analog waveform before recording. This reproduces 16-bit data with 20-bit quality.

Data is written using the jog dial.

By laying out the mechanism part in the center of the chassis, the influence by vibration and resonance is suppressed.
