The VH-5MD can be placed both horizontally and vertically.

Similar to the [[equipment:kenwood:bookshelf:vh-55md|VH-55MD]], however this does not support MDLP.

Comes in silver (S), blue (L), and multicolor white (W).

The blue and silver colors were priced at 65,000 yen, however the multicolor white was priced at 67,000 yen.

  * FM76MHz to 90MHz (stereo), AM531kHz to 1629kHz (monaural).
  * Title input (remote control only)
  * Program play of up to 32 songs
  * Built-in sampling rate converter
  * Supports CD Text
