====== Sony MDS-S500 ======

A full fledged, though compact, deck capable of connecting to a PC using netMD. Unlike the [[equipment:sony:deck:mds-nt1|MDS-NT1]], it actually has on-device controls and a display, and comes bundled with the RM-D10P remote (other MD remotes from the same time period will also work). Works without issue on modern Windows 11 PCs using web/platinum minidisc.  You can also use it with the old SonicStage program and OpenMG programs using [[https://archivisiondirectory.blogspot.com/2011/01/download-netmd-usb-drivers-for-your.html| the 64bit drivers]] on a modern OS.
