Tenth anniversary recorder, launched alongside the MZ-E10 and the LAM-Z10. 3-line LCD on main body, Jog-dial (or Jog-knob like on the JVC XM-R700), manual REC level control, MDLP group function, G-protection Jog-proof, one touch eject

  * ATRAC DSP Type-S (System Controller/ATRAC DSP IC: CXD2678-202GA)
  * Unit is 30g lighter and 2.6mm thinner than the MZ-N1
  * LP4 audio downloading at 64x realtime (LP2 @ 32x?, SP @ ?)
  * USB and charging connections are made through the docking stand only
  * Auto time-mark during recording
  * Personal disc memory
  * Silver or Grey
  * Internal 3mm Lithium Ion cell
  * "Virtual Headphone Technology Acoustic Engine" uses DSP to provide "Studio, Club, Live or Arena" effects
  * Equalizer allows 7 steps of adjustment (-10db to +10db) in 6 frequency bands with four fixed presets (Heavy, Pops, Jazz, Unique) or one of two custom settings (Note - you cannot use EQ and "Virtual Headphone" simultaneously)
  * Adjustable playback speed from -50% to +100% in 13 steps without change of pitch

**Notes for Modern Day Buyers:** 
  * A proprietary usb cable (Part# 1-824-647-21) is required to charge/use netMD, with or without the dock.  
  * If the dock is unavailable, the sidecar also supports charging via a 6v Positive Tip DC input. 
  * The internal battery is also most likely dead, requiring a replacement. 
  * Replacement batteries are available including newer models that don't require soldering like previous solutions.
