The colorful XM-PX3 has a body and remote control with translucent icing color. It uses plastic and metal composite materials with lively and bright colors of (-D) Navel Orange, (-A) Blueberry, (-Y) Lemon Yellow. Later on Febuary 1st 2000 the [[https://web.archive.org/web/20020602061531/http://www.jvc-victor.co.jp/products/compo/XM-PX3LTD.html| XM-PX3LTD-R" (Dragon Red) and "XM-PX3LTD-A" (Angel Blue)]] were released with an MSRP of 30,000 yen.

According to the press releases the XM-PX3's are rated for 5mW + 5mW output while the XM-PX3LTD's are rated for: 3mW + 3mW.

Digital AC bass sound to dynamically control the music signal to obtain undistorted and sharp bass and slender mid-treble. It only supports rechargeable batteries and cannot be connected to the battery box.

A [[equipment:victor:portable:xm-px3ko|Coca-Cola]] and Hello Kitty version of this player also exists.
