====== Devices that support Homebrew features ======

This page lists Type-S and Type-R portables from Sony (as well as direct clones) that support the netmd-exploits as described on the [[guides:webminidisc|Web Minidisc Pro guide]].

The exploits for Type-S devices are older and more thoroughly tested. The exploits for Type-R devices currently operate slower and there may still be errors to work out, and not all functions are available.

As of this writing, ripping performance is roughly:
- Type-R devices will rip at roughly half of real-time, for SP audio.
- Type-S devices will rip at roughly 4x real-time, for SP audio.
