Paul's Disc
I had a lot of fun making this disc for my first swap. There's no theme really, other than just being an eclectic mix of time-tested tunes I've enjoyed over the years. I didn't get into MiniDisc until '98, but had I owned one in '92, this would be an oft-played disc.
My recording setup centers around a Sony STR-DA80ES digital receiver with digital connections to Tidal's HIFI service and a Sony MDS-S37 MiniDisc deck. I unwrapped a brand new Sony MDW-74 blank and ran the playlist through in one shot. Some post-recording editing was required to remove silence so I could squeeze in the last track. I titled using Web MiniDisc Pro connected to an MZ-RH1 in NetMD mode.
I created the disc labels by taping the stickers that came with the discs to the appropriate spot on a sheet of paper and running it through an InkJet printer. Happy to share the details of the technique with anyone interested.
