The PMD-R3-S (Silver) and PMD-R3-L (blue) are MD jacket-sized recording / playback portable MD recorders that use a slot-in mechanical system, and achieve high-quality recording / playback despite their compact body that fit in the palm of your hand.

See also Sharp MD-MS701/MD-MS702 and Kenwood DMC-J7R. Seems the guts are the same as the MD-MS701/702, but the exterior designs is simpler and more similar to the DMC-J7R.

Equipped with various recording / editing functions.

In addition to being equipped with a sampling rate converter that enables digital recording not only from CDs but also from BS / CS broadcasts, a highly visible backlit LCD remote controller is standard equipment.
