Released in 2000, the Sharp MD-MT60, MD-SR50, MD-SR60, MD-SR70 and MD-SR75 are the same unit with slight color variations and were supplied with slightly different accessories depending on the model number.

Unlike most portables, the battery is inserted on the right hand side of the player making it one of the few AA battery powered units to have a flat back.

Variant Differences:

  • MD-SR50: no remote
  • MD-SR60: non-LCD remote (same unit as SR70?)
  • MD-SR70: non-LCD remote
  • MD-SR75: backlit LCD remote, UK unit came with in ear headphones while the Eu model had over-ear.

I don’t know if anyone will see this- but do these units record through normal AUX connection?
han_solar, 2024/01/22 15:40
yes, look at the photos: The input-port reads "Optical/Line In" and "Line In" means Aux. In addition there is the red Mic-In-Port, which also allows to plug-in a microphone. "Optical" means you can plug-in a fibre-glass cable called toslink into the lin-in-port as well. This is for maximum quality. So yes, the black port can accepts both: analog and digital input. This player offers recording from all possible source but not USB.
