Available in CMT-J300-W White, CMT-J300-S Silver and CMT-J300-X Metallic (chrome). HCD-J300 is stamped on the main body. CMT-DC500MD/HCD-DC500MD is somehow related (different speaker option?).

“Pepz” series of devices. MD, CD, Tape, and radio capable unit. MDLP compatible, also supports 2x speed CD → MD dubbing. Supports Scale Factor Edit.

Pretty stylish unit, it has interchangeable front grills for the speakers, and an interchangeable color filter for the LCD screen.

Supports the PCLK-MN10A PC link kit.

Came with the transparent shelled RM-SDC500 remote, which is likely unique to this unit.

Unclear what the difference in model name means. The back of the DC500MD lists the receiver unit as the HCD-J300. I assume the bundle with speakers is the DC500MD, but the receiver itself is the J300.

FM: 76 to 108MHz

MD Mechanism Type MDM-7B
Optical pick-up: KMS-260B
