This is an MD data drive, designed to fit in an internal 3.5 fascia space on a Windows PC. It needs a SCSI card installed and working in the PC before it can be used.
Although similar in concept to the MDH-10, the MDM111-00 main board layout is completely different to the MDH-10; not just in size but with different ICs.
Like the MDH-10, the MDM111-00 can play back audio MDs and there is a headphone jack and volume control wheel on the front faceplate. As standard, it cannot write audio data to audio minidiscs

Manuals
There is a user manual for a 'kit' produced by Sony, which contained:
- An MD data drive
- A blank recordable MD Data disc

A service manual does not seem to be available on any of the download sites.
