One of the first MDLP players. Can break over 100 hours playback (of LP4 with both the main battery and sidecar, rated at 76 for SP). Had disc based memory like the R900. Overall a nice player, though the brushed aluminum finish can look pretty bad when worn.

The sidecar seems to be unique, it comes with a 1.5v input on it. Yet other late era sidecars are compatible althought the manual states not to use on anything else.

Service mode notes:

To enter service mode, it requires an in-line remote. It also requires you to press buttons on both the unit and the remote at the same time. With the hold switch enabled, you hold down stop on the unit, and press FF FF FR FR FF FR FF pause pause on the remote. (Make sure only the unit has the hold switch enabled and NOT the remote.)

Since newer and older in-line remotes handle play and pause differently, you must press group - instead of pause on in-line remotes newer than what came with the MZ-E900.
