Merry Christmas 1992!

Wait, what, that's 30 years ago? It feels like yesterday. My musical horizons continued to expand working at the record store, and much of what is below is what I would have asked for on my Christmas list that year. I learned a valuable lesson that Christmas working at the store. I used to hate on other types of music that didn't fit my style, and I learned that song you hate, it's your next customer's favorite title. I took that to heart, and used that to expand my horizons. I started to appreciate more of the styles that my customers would ask about. Dance? You bet. Latino? Absolutely. Grunge? All day. Hard Rock? Of course. Europop? I'll give it a go. Ambient? A first for everything. College Radio? Sounds good. Traditional pop that “everyone” listened to? Why not. My tastes kept growing and growing, and with that, my CD collection kept growing. So xxxxx, this is for you. The music on my Christmas list in 1992. Also, an extra surprise in the envelope, because, well, why not. It is the giving season.
