Made for Furiosus

This disc features what I would consider to be a good representation of my music taste. It features live and demo tracks from artists I love and music from a wide range of genres and eras, ranging from the 80s to the 2020s. It features artists that I feel are highly under represented such as Redeyes and Koronba. Redeyes by Sugar will forever be in my personal top 10 greatest tracks of all time. Also do NOT call me out for the abundance of Mac DeMarco I think his Christmas song covers are GOOD.

The labels feature images from the Matrix as it is one of my favorite movies and I try to incorporate it into as much pieces of media as I can. The front features the Matrix cover from the first film albeit with a “family-friendly” Christmas vibe. Neo's rifle is now a candy cane and Trinity's pistol is now a teddy bear. They all dawn a silly Christmas hat and sit behind pile of presents. I try my best to add humor to all that I do and this disc is no exception! The back of the disc displays Neo coming out of his power plant pod, but instead of ripping a tube out of his mouth, he is instead enjoying a tasty candy cane. The case has a track list but the background is a blurred image of Neo soaring through the air.

The joke track for this album is the beautiful Ecuador by Sash! ᵉᶜᵘᵃᵈᵒʳ

As far back as I can remember, any form of disk based media has been a fascination of mine. I grew up on CDs and still remember listening to the Shrek 2 soundtrack on a Sony D-FJ003 CD Walkman. Checking out music CDs from the library and ripping them onto iTunes was a regular activity for me and my brother growing up. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to get a MZ-N420D in mint condition based entirely on my own research before exploring this wiki. During my research I was incredibly excited when I read older posts from 2020 on reddit about how people were able to put on or extract info from MiniDiscs. Later when I discovered this wiki and Web MiniDisc Pro (Which is incredibly intuitive I might add), I had a lot of fun using the MiniDisc player in my car and on the go. I have already made a mixtape for a friend that I'm giving them for Christmas and they used my MiniDisc player to make me one! I hope to continue to participate in future disc swaps as I love making playlists and disc labels!

I had a stash of optical media that I saved from High School, I didn't use them at the time but they were going to be thrown out and I saved them from the trash heap. In that stash was a MiniDisc containing a theater performance from what I assume occured during the late 90s or early 2000s, glad that I got to preserve a piece of my High Schools history.
