The DN-990R/DN-980F are professional players for broadcast stations which use Mini-Disk (MD) as the recording medium. The DN-990R/980F inherits the same basic operation of DENON's DN-951FA CD Cart Player, which has become the accepted standard CD player at broadcast stations throughout the world. Up to three units can be mounted side by side in a 19“ equipment rack.
The DN-990R/980F's one-touch loading/ejection of the MD disk is one of the ease-to-use features inherited from DENON's CD Cart player.
Rather than detecting the beginning of a track, the DN-990R/980F automatically cues at the point where the sound begins.
An RS-232C (Serial Remote) interface connector is provided to enable control of the DN-990R and DN-980F from a personal computer.
