Sharp MD-DR7 is Sharp's new 2002 MDLP 24bit MiniDisc recorder with the world's first “Mobile 1-bit Digital Amp” and world's longest playback/record time of up to 120 hours playback time in LP4 mode and 64 hours of record time (as of 11.02). For the first time, Sharp introduces its famous 1-bit Digital Amplifier (used in its high end Auvi hi-fi systems) into MD-DR7, thereby increasing the sound quality during playback. Various live record functions such as:

  • Trace back recording: microphone/line recording to be stored in memory in a pre-set 3/5/10 second intervals and prevent start-up recording lag
  • Group-up recording: creating a new group by pressing the group button during microphone recording

Other standard feature includes microphone synchronizing recording and automatic time mark function (in 3 step fixed intervals 3/5/10 minutes) Polar separated headphone adaptor to completely separate the left and right signals for better sound reproduction (used in conjunction with “Mobile 1-bit Digital Amp). Playback speed control (-30/-20/-10/+5/+15% steps) and 9 second “introduction playback” function give users convenient playback options. 8mW+8mW headphone output and 250mV line output provide great sound quality.
