Sony MDX-C150
There is a MDX-C150RDS variation, RDS standing for Radio Data System allowing the unit to decode data from FM such as station names and track info.
Features: ATRAC 2. Wired remote. Weird negatives (compared to the original MDX-U1 unit):
- Can't label radio stations
- Only 10 character display
- Only 1 pre-amp output
- Track info doesn't scroll by default
Positives (compared to the original MDX-U1 unit)
- Better display
- LOUDness option
- Better look
- Larger preset buttons
4 x 8 watts according to stereo review.. The RDS model claims 4 x 22 watts.
Release date on minidisc.org is incorrect. It is currently estimated based on the stereo review magazine date but even that is likely later than it's actual release date.
Optical Pickup: KMS-193A/J-N
ATRAC chip: CXD2531BR
